Engineering Week in Seniors and First Class

4th Mar 2021

Challenge: To test which type of a bridge will hold the most weight.

We built bridges using sheets of paper, shoeboxes, bottles, toys and money. We looked at flat bridges, bridges with a wall on the sides and arched bridges.

The children in our class came up with great ideas to make a bridge strong enough to hold a large number of toys and plenty of coins. We found that building a bridge using an arch or a walled bridge held the most weight.
