Foraging for Food

We spent an lovely sunny afternoon out around the yard collecting some hedgerow edibles. Our theme for April is FOOD so we thought we could find some growing around the school!

We picked dandelions for jam and furze petals for cordial. 

Miss Blackwell didn't have a cooker so the jam didn't set but we all thought it tasted really good as a syrup!!!! The cordial was also delicious - though not everyone agreed!!!
