We have fabulous new playground markings with lots of games thanks to our Parents Association and our local Windfarm committee...your help is very much appreciated by our whole school community.
We were tasked with making a lava lamp as part of our Explorers STEAM lessons.
First we planned our project and collected our materials. We needed water oil effervescent tablets and food colouring. We also needed a clear container.
Then we mixed water with colour. Next we added oil. We observed oil water do not mix. After that Miss Blackwell added the effervescent tablets. Wow it really worked!!! The fizz in the water Nd colour solution moved the oil around the container!!!!
Finally we noted our results and talked about what worked well and any challenges we had. The biggest was Miss Blackwell making a huge oily spill!!!!!!! We enjoyed this challenge a lot.
