What's the Dirt on Dirt?

This week we investigated what is in soil as part of our theme of the month- FOOD.  

We collected soil samples from all around the school and by adding water we were able to separate the layers of material in soil. 

We learned that soil is made up of 4 things:

1. Organic Matter 
2. Minerals
3. Water
4. Air

We also had fun in the sun collecting the samples.
