Partnerships

Working together as a school and with outside clubs and groups is crucial to our success as an Active School.

Our school community has worked together to agree on our Active School slogan which is

"Go outside and have a run, you'll be keeping fit and having Fun'

Our school has established an Active Schools' Committee, our members have many and varied  roles including acting as playground leaders, managing equipment, drawing up yard rotas, carrying out surveys etc.

Our senior pupils have conducted a "What club are you in?" survey to highlight and promote physical opportunities in our area.

Our school acknowledges and praises physical activity effort and success both inside and outside of school. This effort is acknowledged at our weekly assembly and at our Student of the Month assembly.

Our school is actively involved with Inagh/ Kilnamona Hurling/Camogie clubs, Ennis Leisure Complex, Inagh Development (Clonmackon Lake),Clare Cascaders basketball club, St. Joseph's Miltown Malbay and Ennistymon football clubs, K.I.B. athletic club, F.A.I. Kung Fu club and Clare Sports Partnership.

We have two classes in our school for children with autism Suaimhneas 1 and 2, we are in close contact with our local SIDO James Murrihy and other professionals to insure that all activities are planned and inclusive.
